Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast Recipe – Allrecipes.com
This is a fantastic recipe for those cold days when you want a hot home cooked meal but don’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. For a 5 1/2 lb Pot Roast, the recipe suggests 8 hours for the slow cooking time. It is a great “set it and forget it” recipe. You don’t even have to stir! Although the original recipe does not use vegetables, the video recipe and reviews suggest adding carrots, pearl onions, and potatoes when there is only 1 hour left to cook. Another nice thing about this recipe is that there is plenty of gravy for mashed potatoes. You can hit the easy button buy the ready made red potatoes from the grocery store.
