Mokomandy – Modern. Korean. Cajun

Mokomandy – Modern. Korean. Cajun.

Fantastic find! Tapas menu with a great variety. Fire Cracker Carrots, Kimchi Pancakes, and Jalapeno Hush Puppies were all knockouts. Kobe Carpaccio was delicate and balanced. Foie Gras Dumplings were slightly burnt but rich. Pot-Roast Sliders were OK but were rescued by the wonderful hot sauces. Shrimp and Grits were perfect, and the Walleye (Catch of the Day with what I believe was a Sweet Potato Ragout) was perhaps the best fish dish I’ve had in a very long time.

Desserts were ‘Violet, Orange, and 20-yr Balsamic’ and ‘Bread Pudding with Homemade Banana Ice Cream’. They were both mild on sweetness but full of complexity and flavor.
Wines tasted were a Bordeaux and a Pinot Grigio, both served apropos.
We will return!
